The Advanced Molecular Materials Research Centre (AMMRC) was established as a new academic initiative by Mahatma Gandhi University and inaugurated on November 22, 2012 by Shri. P. K. Abdu Rabb, the Education Minister of Kerala. The Centre has been envisaged as a platform to encourage interdisciplinary advanced research in the cutting edge areas of material science. The establishment of the Centre was aimed to augment the University in its effort to have a potential center of excellence in the area of advanced materials. The Centre has in-house facilities of the sophisticated and advanced equipments to undertake research in this area. Prof (Dr.) Suresh Mathew (School of Chemical Sciences) is the Founder Director and Dr. S. Anas (School of Chemical Sciences) is the present Honorary Director.
